Million Trees Worldwide
The idea of James Cameron and producer Jon Landau, together with the movie company 20th Centrury Fox, will start in the first day of sales of "Avatar" licensed DVD. By this idea, before the end of 2010, many countries around the world will be planted with trees, a total of one million. In order to become an "owner" of the tree you need to buy a licensed DVD movie. According to Cameron, you can get a tree anywhere on Earth. Each owner of a licensed DVD will receive the original code to access the map on the "Avatar" website. This virtual map will contain the exact coordinates of each tree location.
You can buy a licensed version of the movie on the disk and get the tree from April 22, 2010 until the end of the year. 20th Centrury Fox Company, contributed to this DVD, thus it fortunately is not in 3D format. As a compensation for the fans of new, advanced technologies, the 3D Avatar movie may be released to the theatres for the second time (this is now discussed).
